Material Support Associate, Contractor

Reporting directly to the Sr. Manager, Materials Management & Supply Chain, the Material Support Associate Contractor will be responsible for conducting, labeling, packaging, and production support activities to support commercial and clinical manufacturing. This individual is expected to work hands on under ISO 7, ISO 8, and other classified areas with a and variety of manufacturing production equipment technology.  Responsibilities include supplying materials to internal customers, maintaining controlled storage location of operations and fulfillment, perform routine inventory transaction in the ERP system, and distribution of manufacturing processing kits.


  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with company EHS policies, current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Wears proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows aseptic procedures when gowning, de-gowning and working in the sterile and controlled areas.
  • Reports any accidents, incidents and injuries or illnesses immediately and notifies manager of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace.
  • Generation of labels for labelling and manufacturing processing kits.
  • Perform cycle counts on a determined schedule to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Timely fulfillment of laboratory material stock requests.
  • Cleaning, sanitization and disinfection of equipment and components required for production.
  • Works with Materials Management to ensure all components are available ahead of time for production.
  • Facilitate collection and pickup of biohazardous waste in accordance with federal and local regulations.
  • Prepare and assemble manufacturing and customer service kits in accordance with BOM and SOP’s.
  • Maintain controlled storage areas in an organized state and in compliance with company policy.
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) guidelines.
  • Excellent organization and time-management skills required. Must be able to manage heavy workload and aggressive timelines in a timely manner, prioritize and work under pressure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Perform assigned functions related to shipping and receiving, including pallet breakdown, inspection of incoming materials, accurate receipt and accessioning into ERP system, and delivery to designated warehouse location
  • Flexible schedule required.



  • High school degree, BA or BS in Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred.
  • 2+ years relevant experience in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and ERP system.
  • Strong organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • 1+ years of proven experience of managing materials under cGMP and USP guidelines.
  • Team player with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and maintain a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift packages up to 50lbs, operate pallet jack, and reach shelves upon shoulder level.
