Materials Management Associate, Contractor

Celularity is seeking a dynamic individual to join a motivated team of materials management and supply chain professionals for the daily management of materials used in the manufacturing of multiple cell and tissue therapy products. Leveraging Celularity’s new, state-of-the-art cGMP capable facility, this position will make use of existing innovations and future technologies to support manufacturing demand.

• Joining a team of highly qualified materials management professionals, participate in the daily materials handling and distribution activities including but not limited to receiving, inventory counts, material fulfillment and distribution of consumables.
• Work cohesively with cross-functional teams in support of operational efficiency, flexibility, and assurance of timely completion of all material request fulfillment and distribution. Maintain and deliver sufficient supply of raw materials and consumable to support manufacturing activities.
• Execution and daily completion of material receipt, work orders, inventory management, and entry of data into electronic databases (ERP system).  Ability to adhere to Good Documentation Practices. Consistently perform various inventory management and control activities on time sensitive material. 
• Examine incoming materials and resolve any discrepancies related to shortages or damages. Ensure all material related documentation is up-to date including but not limited to material specification documents, certificates, and technical data sheet.
• Routinely prepare and assemble manufacturing kits in accordance with Bill of Materials and SOPs.   Establish kits restock point quantities and assembling level quantities.
• Ensure the proper operation and performance of materials management equipment and accurately complete equipment logbooks and associated records. Maintain and organize warehouse, storage and shipping and receiving areas in accordance with EHS, cGMP, and company guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications (Must have)

• High school degree or associate degree in applied science.
• 2+ years relevant experience in shipping and receiving, inventory management, and ERP system.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive attitude that is willing to assist other areas of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong focus and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform frequent physical tasks with strength and mobility. Daily tasks call for routine walking and standing and occasional lifting of heavy materials.
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and main a strong attention to detail.
• Flexible scheduling required

Preferred Qualifications 

• BA or BS degree in Supply Chain management or Logistics preferred.
• 1-2 years’ relevant experience with materials management and/or supply chain within cGMP operations.
• Understanding of federal regulations for Quality Systems (21CFR820) and GMP manufacturing (21CFR 210,211).
• 1+ years of proven experience of managing materials under cGMP and USP guidelines.
• Knowledge of GxP regulations (cGTP, cGDP, cGMP).
• Experience in a fast-paced, scientific start-up environment.
• Dynamic individual with the ability to communicate and engage others.
• Independent and self-starting.
• Eager and adaptable.

Working Conditions  

• Position primarily operates for extended periods of time in warehouse and controlled manufacturing environments. 
• Fast paced, start-up environment which may periodically require work beyond standard business hours.
• Must be able to lift and transport at least 50 pounds
• Handling of potentially biohazardous material (human cells, tissues, etc.).
